How to set up Outlook (IMAP)?

  1. Make sure you have your email account details, it should look like this:

    Username/email: example@yodle.nz
    Password: example123

    Outgoing server details:
    Outgoing server: yourdomain.co.nz
    Outgoing port: 993

    Incoming server details:
    Incoming server: yourdomain.co.nz
    Incoming server port: 465


  2. Click File → Info → Add account.
    The Outlook wizard for setting up a new account will open.
  3. Enter an email address to add your account.
  4. Click Advanced options and check the box for Let me set up my account manually.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. Choose the account type IMAP.
    The dialogue IMAP Account Settings will open up.
  7. Use the following settings:
    1. Incoming mail: Server yourdomain.co.nz with port 993 and check the option This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS)
    2. Outgoing mail: Server  yourdomain.co.nz with port 465 and the encryption method (SSL/TLS)

  8. Click Connect.
    A login dialogue will appear.
  9. Enter your e-mail address and your password, check to Save the password in your password list and click OK.
Outlook will now sync with your email account.
